FENG SHUI’S EARTH ELEMENT

December 9, 2011 Posted by admin

Earth element is very significant in Chinese philosophy – Feng Shui. This element is activated to energize the home with good Feng Shui. The luck of the earth element is a heaven luck which is also called mankind luck that nourishes the relationships in a family and thus brings happiness and harmony. The house blessed with earth energy always stay united and stand for each other.

How to harness the energy of earth?

i) Not only illuminate the south west corner but the whole house. Keep the whole home well lighted for bright yang to bless the house. Make sure that there are no dark corners in the house. Even the store rooms and garages should be well lit. The bright light represents the fire element which creates earth essence. The bright light generates life, progress, success and growth.

ii) Natural Quartz Crystals also activates the earth element and thus energize the house. These crystals must be placed in the living room. They possess clean and crisp energy. I warn you against the dull crystals that do not reflect the luck around it, do not shine and look defeated. Such crystals bring bad Feng Shui to the house and stagnates the life of the members of the family. To assure that the crystal is clean soak the crystal in the solution of water and salt for complete seven days and seven nights. And then place the crystal in strong sun rays for a few hours. Now you can place the crystals in the living room they radiated lots of positive energy. Natural crystals are many like quartz, amethyst citrines, to urinalyses, etc. It is suggested to keep seven kinds of crystals in the living room especially in the south- west corner. This actively not only ensures family well being but also strengthens the bond of love couple.

FENG SHUI’S LUCKY JARS

December 8, 2011 Posted by admin

Feng Shui recommends beautiful vases, urns and jars for the well being and happiness of the family. These vases and jars are very popular in Chinese culture. The jars need not be very expensive, the cheaper ones can be easily bought from the local supermarket. Red and yellow jars or vases serve the purpose of Feng Shui. Yellow is suitable for south west corner. Yellow is recommended as it resembles the chicken suit yellow i.e. the droppings of chickens. Red is also recommended for south west corner which resembles the OX blood red those energies the house.

It is also auspicious to keep porcelain jars / vases with auspicious symbols on it. An ideal porcelain vase will be one with the dragon and phoenix image because it brings marriage luck. In Chinese culture, a dragon and phoenix represents happy occasions. I keep these vases and jars empty rather than filling those with water. Or else I fill those with stones to activate earth energy I also fill some of those with peonies because peonies symbolize conjugal happiness.

Feng Shui tips for the shapes of the jars / vases

i)               Vases of gourd shape i.e. the jar with bulging bottoms and this necks are auspicious as it brings wealth.

ii)             A porcelain vase with love bird’s image promises the marriage luck.

iii)            Another vase shape i.e. a vase with long, narrow neck and a larger base is also auspicious

Vastu Remedy For Overhead Beams

December 3, 2011 Posted by admin

Vastu states that sitting under the overhead beam is an open invitation to death. The inauspiciousness may afflict you in form of ill health, short life span, death of dears, financial crisis and many more. Offices should not have any over head beams because it may ruin you financially. Even if you have an over head beam in the office try to avoid sitting and working directly under it.

Vastu’s philosophy is born out of Indian mythology. And the concept of over head beams is also discovered from the same particularly from the stories of Puranas. There is a story that relates to Hiranyakashyap and Prahalad. It seems that Hiranyakashyap had a boon that he cannot be killed ny a male or female, not with any weapon, neither on the earth nor sky and neither in the house nor ouside the house. At last he was killed by the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Narsingh. He was killed at the dawn at the threshold of the house. After this epic none rests, sits or stands under the beam.
It depends on you whether you believe or not but I have solved many cases where over head beams have ruined many lives. Overhead beams strain the person sitting under it. Therefore you must avoid placing chair, table and other things under the beam.
Vaastu tips to neutralize the adverse effect of overhead beams:

  • Cover the overhead beam with the smooth ceiling of tiles. Smooth means there should not be any irregularities on the ceiling.
  • Try to stand two bamboo sticks on the beam to neutralize its effect.
  • Install the green replica of Lord Ganesha on both the sides of beam to dispel the negative effect of overhead beams.

FENG SHUI TO END ARGUMENTS

November 26, 2011 Posted by admin

Feng Shui states that many doors mean many mouths. Yes! Too many doors result in more frequent arguments. The doors that open outwards cause more disturbance in life. I have seen such homes which have more than five doors out of which three are main doors leading to a confusing state of affairs with each one using a different door. It results in a situation where everyone keeps on talking but no one listens. It results in unnecessary arguments and shouting. With many doors the good Sheng Chi gets confused about the door from which one to enter. Sheng Chi is the energy of growth.

Feng Shui Tips to end the arguments are:

  • The main door should be chosen first based on the mutual decision taken by all the family members. The most loved and comfortable doo should be captioned main door not otherwise.
  • The back of the house should be elevated in comparison to the front of the house.
  • The front of the house must have some vacant space.
  • The direction of the house must be such that brings luck.
  • Try to keep the doors of the bedroom and other rooms closed.
  • Avoid having the doors in a single corridor opening in a single straight line.
  • Hang crystals from the ceilings between the doors opening up in a single straight line.
  • Close the sliding doors if the main and the back doors are opened.

FENG SHUI DESTROYING MIRROR EFFECT

November 25, 2011 Posted by admin

FENG SHUI states that mirrors play an important role in shaping our relationships. It affects the flow of chi in the house and thus affects the harmony among the family members & the household, and especially the bond between husband and wife. Mirrors must be dealt with utmost care because if they reflect the auspicious things then it brings lots of happiness whereas if it is placed in a wrong position then it may harm the relationships adversely resulting in permanent separation. A mirror in master bed room is a grave danger to the married couple because it may result in divorce. Therefore in all the bedrooms mirrors must be avoided in order to save the relationships.  Mirrors wrongly positioned can be considered as synonym to unhappiness.  Not only in the bedrooms but its positioning must be looked after suspiciously in other parts of the family also. A mirror facing the main door is inauspicious because it throws the chi out of the house diminishing the luck of the house. It also results in people staying away from home leading to an ultimate separation. Such separations may result in permanent break ups. The most affected ones are the husbands & the wives. Mirrors may also result in children leaving home.  Also the door facing mirror causes children to leave the home earlier than expected. Darker areas should not house a mirror because it may lead to similar problems. Try lighting up the darker areas for good Feng Shui. You can also place plants to eliminate the negative effect of mirrors and to enhance the growth of family. In a nut shell we can say that:

  • A mirror directly opposite the front door throws the good energy out of the house therefore it is better to put a mirror between two walls.
  • Mirror in darker areas should be corrected by lighting the area and putting the plants in front of mirror to ensure growth.

Feng Shui for Bed Room

November 5, 2011 Posted by admin

Feng Shui dictates our life style for it to be peaceful and happy. There are many small things that can affect our life adversely. One of the small things we will discuss in this article is the positioning of toilets. Feng Shui states that toilet flushes away the luck causing multiple problems. Since water is associated with money and toilet involves draining therefore toilet flushes away the wealth and prosperity. Thus toilets must be placed meticulously to diminish its bad effect. A toilet in south west corner of house not only brings bad luck but also creates disharmony in the relations. Feng Shui helps us to promote good relationships with perfect placement of each thing in the house. Incorrect alignment of toilets with respect to bed and other sleeping area can take away your peaceful sleep. In most of the modern apartments we find bedrooms attached with bathrooms and in such apartments the positioning of the bed matters a lot. Tips for the placement of toilets in a house are shared below:

  • According to Feng Shui toilets are considered as the negative area of the house. These should not be connected to bed room as opposite to what is provided in hotels & apartments. Toilets should not be set against any adjoining wall of bedroom o find its place above the bedroom (in multi storied buildings). Toilet & Bedroom should not share any common wall between them.
  • In case of double storied buildings the bed should not be positioned below the toilet. It causes bad energy to descend on those who sleep in the bed below.
  • In case you have an adjoining toilet to your bedroom then Feng Shui suggests not resting the bed against the common wall adjoining bedroom & bathroom.

We know toilets are necessary, Feng Shui directs us to place it in a correct position to diminish its adverse effect.
